RECIPE WEDNESDAY

OMGosh! I found this recipe on Facebook, of all places, and I tried it. Yuuuuuuumyyyy!

It's called Olive Garden's Chicken Alfredo. I don't know if it is the official chicken alfredo from the restaurant, but it does use their bottled salad dressing. So, the name could be based off of that. Anyway, I made this recipe (and it makes a good-sized batch) and ate it for four straight days...and didn't tire of it. Now that's saying something.

So, without further ado, here it is:

INGREDIENTS:

4 boneless chicken breasts

1 bottle Olive Garden salad dressing

1 box penne pasta

1 block cream cheese

1/2 c. Parmesan cheese

salt, pepper, garlic powder

DIRECTIONS:

Place the chicken breasts in a crockpot

Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (to taste)

Sprinkle Parmesan on top of breasts

Slice the cream cheese block into 4 equal portions, place each slice on top of each breast

Pour salad dressing over breasts

Cook on low for 3 hours

When finished, shred chicken

Boil pasta according to directions, pour into crockpot and toss everything together

Serve with garlic toast and a tossed salad

Enjoy!
